Memory and sessions

A session is one conversation between a User and an agent. Memory is the durable context that helps future conversations stay coherent.

Sessions can be initiated through dashboard previews, the Web widget, API integrations, phone, or WhatsApp when those channels are configured. The dashboard separates broad conversation review from channel-specific operations:

  • Conversations shows conversations and supports keyword or semantic search.
  • Calls shows PSTN sessions with All and Pending views.
  • Memory and Observability sit under Monitor for memory visibility, traces, live monitoring, and logs.

Memory appears as a top-level Monitor surface. Use it to see what agents remember across the workspace and to search individual memories when you need visibility.

Memory should be treated as operational context, not a place to store arbitrary secrets. Sensitive data handling should follow the workspace’s privacy and retention settings.

Common empty or unavailable states are normal during setup:

  • No conversations appear until a User talks to an agent.
  • No calls appear until phone distribution is configured and used.
  • Memory search has no results until useful context has been created.
  • Observability may be empty until sessions generate traces.

When troubleshooting, check the selected workspace, provider credentials, wallet currentness, and whether the channel has been configured for the agent.
